RERA broker licence renewal explained

Updated 2026-10-17

Every broker in Dubai needs a valid broker card issued under RERA, the regulatory arm of the Dubai Land Department. Cards are renewed through DLD's Trakheesi system.

How renewal works

  1. Log in to Trakheesi (or create an account) and select the broker card renewal service. The Dubai REST app offers the same service.
  2. Fill in the details and attach the documents. DLD lists a copy of the Emirates ID and a valid passport, plus the required documentation for UAE nationals.
  3. Pay the fees online. DLD describes approval of the online application as automatic.
  4. Print the renewed card from the system.

Fees

At the time of writing, DLD's service page lists AED 500 to renew a real-estate broker card, plus an AED 10 knowledge fee and an AED 10 innovation fee. Fees change, so check the official renewal page before you pay.

What agencies should plan for

Renewals arrive unevenly through the year. Agencies that hired heavily in a given month see a matching renewal wave twelve months later. Tracking how many of your team's cards expire in the next 30 days, and how that compares with the wider market, helps you plan training slots and avoid brokers being unable to practise for a period.

This guide summarises DLD's published service information as of October 2026. It is not legal advice; always confirm current requirements with DLD.
